Hi and welcome to Fashion is where the heart is! My name is Ella Firth and here you’ll find my online diary of all things fashion, inspiration and how to keep your wardrobe looking it’s very best to bring out your style to leave you struttin’ into town.
With this blog, I hope to connect with readers and bloggers who share the same interests, to gain a sense of achievement and to share my thoughts and feelings about the makings of the fashion world -as the industry is not all that meets the eye. Many people believe that fashion is only for the rich and pampared to splash their cash on current trends- but for me- it’s so much more than that. It’s a chance to investigate the history of clothes, the making of garments, environmental impacts of the industry and how to throw simple pieces together to make something extraordinary.
Currently, I’m a journalism student at college where I will attend university to study fashion media in September. I live with my parents, younger and older sister. My love for fashion never used to be something I expected to happen as I used to hate shopping and I was never interested in the clothes I received as presents. It was always the toys, books, jewellery -basically anything that wasn’t made with fabric. But as I came to develop more of an interest for the clothes that I wore, I began to watch videos about the industry and read magazines such as ID and Vogue, that’s where it all started. I hope my blog can allow you to find a greater love for style, to learn more about me and the fashion world which can help us make small but necessary decisions about the clothes that we choose to wear.
